As she joins the stellar line-up at Entertainers Connect, part of WOW Awards Asia 2025, we caught up with Puja for a candid chat on what drives her, how she stays relevant, and what’s next in her exciting journey.

1) What does being a part of the edition of 11th Entertainers Connect mean to you? And how do you see it levelling up your work and boosting your presence in the industry?

Being part of Entertainers Connect is truly an honour. It’s a great platform where creative energies meet and inspire. It’s an opportunity to meet and learn from our industry people and a moment of celebration.

For me, it’s a chance to network with incredible artists, exchange experiences, and gain new perspectives. This kind of exposure helps elevate not just visibility but also creativity, pushing me to innovate more and stay aligned with the evolving trends of our industry.

2) What inspired you to choose this path as your profession? And now that you’ve spent time in the industry, what shifts or positive differences have you witnessed over time?

My love for connecting with people and creating memorable moments drew me to this path. It’s a special feeling to know that you add joy and fun to people’s lives with your craft. Hosting live events is a beautiful blend of energy, spontaneity, and empathy.

Over the years, I’ve seen the industry become more inclusive and diverse, especially in terms of content and the voices being heard. There’s a stronger appreciation for individuality now and a growing respect for artists who bring authenticity to their craft.

3) How do you stay relevant and innovative in such a dynamic and evolving entertainment industry?

Relevance comes from observation, learning, and adapting. I make it a point to stay curious, whether that’s through attending different kinds of events, collaborating with other artists, or exploring new platforms.

Innovation, for me, lies in storytelling, how I engage with the audience, tailor my style, and bring freshness to every event while still staying true to my personality. Trying new things and updating the craft is very important.

4) What’s next for you? Are there any specific projects, formats, or collaborations you’re aiming to explore?

I’m keen on international collaborations and working with cross-cultural teams. I’m also exploring newer live event formats. As an artist, I love to experiment and test my capability to host different kinds of events.

Voice work, branded content hosting and possibly a podcast or show of my own are all on the radar. With so many new platforms available, it’s an exciting time to experiment!

5) What’s your go-to trick for winning over a tough crowd? Do you have a mantra or phrase that you say to yourself before every performance?

My go-to trick is to read the room quickly.

Every crowd is different, and just like every dish needs its own mix of spices and a unique process, every event needs a tailored approach to truly connect.

What works at a corporate event won’t necessarily work at a concert or a wedding.

Before every performance, I remind myself: “You’re here to serve joy and make this a memorable experience, so be real, and the rest will follow.” That mantra keeps me grounded and focused on creating an authentic experience.

6) What advice or message would you give to aspiring artists?

Your uniqueness is your superpower; nurture it. Anchoring, especially, is a craft rooted in communication skills. So focus on that, work on your voice, presence, and connection with the audience.

Also, don’t be disheartened by criticism. Take it as feedback. It’s one of the most powerful tools to help you upgrade. Keep showing up for your craft, even when it feels invisible. Be professional, be kind, and never stop learning.

From sharing stages with Mika Singh, Pritam, Anil Kumble, Rajpal Yadav, to captivating global audiences, Puja Singh continues to evolve, inspire, and elevate the standards of live hosting.
