World Pickleball League Announces Season 2 Dates, Returns to Mumbai in 2026

After a groundbreaking debut, the World Pickleball League (WPBL) is all set to return with its highly anticipated second season. The league officially announced that Season 2 will take place in Mumbai from January 24 to February 8, 2026.

Following the success of its inaugural edition, WPBL continues to raise the bar for one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. The first season, held at the iconic Cricket Club of India, saw participation from elite athletes representing 14 countries. The format introduced a dynamic 15-minute match setup, Hawk-Eye technology for officiating, and a unique blend of sport and entertainment.

Adding to its star power, Season 1 featured franchise owners from across industries — including Swiggy and celebrities such as Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Atlee & Priya, Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Rishabh Pant, and Rakul Preet Singh.

Gaurav Natekar, Co-founder & CEO, WPBL said, “Season 1 of the WPBL was a statement of intent. It showed that India is ready not just to embrace pickleball, but to lead its evolution on the global stage. The response and the goodwill we received from players, fans, and partners exceeded all expectations, and Season 2 promises to be bigger in every way – sharper competition, deeper storytelling, and an even stronger connection with our community. We’re thrilled to bring the league back to Mumbai, a city that gave us so much love and energy last time around.”

Season 2 aims to introduce new innovations, feature returning fan favorites, and expand its focus on both grassroots and professional development. With its unique format and growing community, WPBL continues to position itself as a cutting-edge platform at the intersection of sport and entertainment.
