The trailer launch for the Netflix web series The Royals was nothing short of a spectacle to watch. Breaking away from the conventional press conference format, Rigger House Experience took a bold risk – one that paid off with a disruptive, immersive experience unlike any other.

From the outset, The Royals wasn’t an easy brief. The show offered a fresh take on modern-day Indian royalty: broke, flawed, yet charming and an aam kumari who arrives to save the majestic Morpur palace, and its equally regal Maharaja. Ask for the event? “We want to do something different with this title, it’s a big one for us.” That was Rigger House Experience’s cue to raise the bar as it’s not every day a client hands you the complete freedom to truly think outside the box. As an experiential marketing agency, they vowed to show their creative prowess.
From brainstorming to execution, one central idea led the way: how does Rigger House Experience not just build a stunning set, but truly bring such a stellar cast and characters to life? And their first thought: why not make it a fashion forward event? Believe it or not, they manifested those lines to reality. Rigger House Experience broke the wall between the Royals and The Commoners which was the entire plot of the series.
There were no grand entries or flashy gimmicks. Just sheer opulence. A single grazing table swirling through the heart of the space, with the cast seated at its center. The concept: an evening where the media meets royalty up close and personal. Where the royals get off their high chairs and become one with the commoners, sipping tea and spilling some beans. And remarkably, that’s exactly what happened.
While the design itself was ambitious, it was the programming that kept the team on its toes. Rigger House Experience’s creative team observed, scripted, and choreographed every movement, from entrances to audience interactions to stay true to character.
The client servicing and production team worked towards making sure each aspect of the event was handled with utmost detail. Every element on the table was sourced with care, from pearls to cupcakes, the space perfectly reflected the vision.

An exclusive, invite-only guest list of 100 was curated, with regal dress codes and themed invites setting the tone. Then came the moment.
The drapes parted. The lights dimmed. The cast appeared, seated regally. Music swelled. And then – magic. But hold up, it was much more than that.
Aditi Khosla, Co-Founder & Creative Director, Rigger House Experience said, “The trailer launch aimed to break down the fourth wall between the cast members (the royals) and the audience (commoners), mirroring the show’s concept where commoners get an intimate glimpse into the lives of royalty. This innovative approach sought to redefine the viewing experience and challenge traditional media event formats.”
As attendees walked in, they were immersed in the illusion of a royal darbaar, oblivious to the grand dining table and cast that lay behind the curtains, ready to make their entrance.
The evening started with a royal welcome delivered by Zeenat Aman as she made her presence felt virtually, Shahi Tudka was served to everyone to start the evening, the drapes parted beautifully and the stunning cast was revealed in character on stage while the audience was in awe. One by one, each of them walked down the stage into the audience to curated music, met the attendees and put on a full show. While Maharanisa Sakshi Tanwar handed out some pearls, Dino Morea mesmerised a woman with a rose, Vihaan Samat offered an audience member a dish prepared by him and Chunky Pandey slyly slipped his calling number to a fan. Bhumi Pednekar & Ishaan Khatter stole the show as a laser spotlight dawned on them, creating a moment full of full romance and proceeded to give a walk worth remembering a lifetime. Everyone toasted to the incredible journey it had been and Aam Panna was served as the trailer was cued. The audience, seated on both sides of the media q&a, smiled throughout as they watched their stars answer their questions, engaged in banter and stayed true to the theme, the world of The Royals and the Commoners, colliding.

Rigger House Experience’s favourite moment? The entire evening. They hope you feel the same.
The biggest compliment of the night came when the client said that the live experience was a perfect replica of the design mock ups, everything matched perfectly – a rare harmony for any agency to witness.
