Music Vruksh Baithak 2025: Bridging Traditions Through Melody

Music Vruksh, an organization dedicated to Indian classical music, hosted its annual event Music Vruksh Baithak 2025 at the Y.B. Chavan Rangaswar Auditorium, Mantralaya, Mumbai. The evening drew over 100 attendees, including music lovers, professionals, students, and families.

The event was hosted by Mallika Parker on behalf of Music Vruksh, which was founded by Nithya Rajendran — an accomplished classical musician known for her expertise in both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions. Nithya’s engaging stage presence and thoughtful introductions have become a hallmark of the organization’s events.

The highlight of the evening was Nithya Rajendran’s original composition — a medley that blended Raag Shudh Kalyan (Hindustani) and Raaga Mohana Kalyani (Carnatic). The seamless fusion of the two forms demonstrated her deep understanding and mastery of both musical traditions.

Joining her on stage were six talented artists from the Music Vruksh team. Vocalists Srushti Kulkarni, Prajakta Shendre, and Ganesh Jagdale delivered a soulful performance, supported by Shri Suresh Sethumadhavan on mridangam, Shri Chaitanya Kulkarni on tabla, and Shri Vinay Dalvi on harmonium.

True to Music Vruksh’s philosophy of inclusivity, the event offered a rich classical experience while remaining accessible to newer audiences. The performance resonated with connoisseurs and casual listeners alike, reinforcing the idea that classical music can be both profound and widely relatable.

With Baithak 2025, Music Vruksh reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, education, and expanding the reach of Indian classical music to diverse audiences.
