The EEMA Spotlight Awards 2025 took place on May 24, 2025, at Club Riviera, Gurugram, honoring the behind-the-scenes heroes of the event industry. It was a grand evening filled with emotion, celebration, and powerful performances.
The night began with a soulful performance by The Mangal Naad Band, followed by a heartfelt original poem by emcee and scriptwriter Aditya Malik. Emcees Sahithya and Mitin hosted the event, seamlessly blending the award announcements with energetic performances, including a vibrant act by Laadi Maa and her troupe.
Viraf Sarkari, Jury Chair and Co-founder of Wizcraft International, spoke about the judging process, emphasizing its fairness under the supervision of Ernst & Young. The spotlight of the evening remained on the vendor partners—those who make the magic happen. Samit Garg, President, EEMA, said, “The Spotlight Awards aren’t about glitz or glamour. They’re about the people who make the stage possible. Our vendor partners are the true heroes—without them, there is no spotlight.”

One of the most touching moments of the evening was the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Vijay Batra, Director of Rama Tent House, for his outstanding contribution to the industry. Ruchin Kohli, Vice President – North, EEMA, said, “Mr. Batra is a true stalwart—his work ethic, innovation, and humility have inspired generations. This recognition is long overdue.”
Vijay Arora, Director, Touchwood Group and Chair of the Spotlight Awards, shared, “The Spotlight Awards is more than just a night of trophies—it’s a reminder that greatness lies in collaboration, humility, and silent perseverance. These heroes don’t just build events—they build dreams.” Rajeev Jain, Director, Rashi Entertainment and Co-chair Spotlight Awards, EEMA, added, “It fills my heart with pride to see our community finally celebrate the hands that build our visions—the real game-changers.”
Atul Chabra, Founder & Director of Enthuse Answers and Spotlight Committee Lead, EEMA, said, “Spotlight 2025 was not just an event—it was a heartfelt tribute. My goal was to ensure that every vendor partner felt truly seen, celebrated, and honoured. The passion, sweat, and love they bring to every project often go unnoticed, and this night was our collective ‘thank you’ to them.”

Over 119 awards were given out across more than 50 categories, recognizing the industry’s wide-ranging excellence. Performances by Shankar Mahadevan, Bismil, and Jasbir Jassi lit up the stage, and the celebrations ended with an afterparty powered by the Suryaveer Band, where guests danced and celebrated the night away.
