Kapil Mishra Inaugurates 5th Edition of Shows of India Conclave with Vision for Delhi’s Live Entertainment Future

The 5th Edition of the Shows of India Conclave kicked off with great energy and ambition at The Leela Ambience Delhi Convention Hotel. Powered by Hyderabad Talkies, co-powered by Nesco Events and The Leela, and held in association with Giant Truss, Knight Gourmet, and Motus One, the prestigious event was organized by EVENTFAQS Media and supported by EEMA.

The event was inaugurated by Hon. Minister Kapil Mishra, Minister of Tourism, Law & Justice, Labour, Employment, Art & Culture, and Language, Government of Delhi.

Following the inauguration, Minister Mishra participated in an insightful session titled “Capital of Culture: Delhi’s Vision for a Global Live Entertainment Hub” alongside Rajeev Jain, Founder & Director of Rashi Entertainment.

During the session, the Minister laid out his ambitious roadmap for transforming Delhi into the epicenter of live events and entertainment in India and beyond. He stated, “I want to make Delhi the most event-friendly state in the country—more venues, easier permissions, and complete support to the industry.”

He extended an open invitation to the industry, emphasizing collaboration and government support, “Let’s collaborate. We’ll provide the venues free of cost—just come with great ideas.”

Highlighting Delhi’s capability and vision, he added, “We have hosted religious events for over 5 to 10 lakh people in Delhi. It’s time we host world-class festivals and concerts with the same enthusiasm.”

Addressing the bottlenecks faced by creative professionals, Minister Mishra called for systemic change, “This mindset has to change—where people in power delay or block creative ideas just because they can. It’s time for accountability.”

He also pointed to the power of unified governance, “If five agencies—the Centre, CM, LG, DDA, and Tourism—can work together to launch a river cruise in Delhi, we can surely fix the events permission system too.”

In his closing remarks, the Minister drove home the core issue and its solution, “Delhi isn’t short on infrastructure; it’s short on intent. That’s what we’re changing now. You bring the creativity, we’ll bring the support. Together, let’s make Delhi the cultural capital of the world.”
