Government and Industry Leaders Unite to Shape the Next Decade of Live Entertainment at Shows Of India 2025

The 5th edition of Shows of India, the country’s definitive platform for the live entertainment and experiential events industry, will convene on May 22–23, 2025 at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi. As India’s cultural economy gains global visibility and domestic momentum, this landmark gathering is set to unite influential government voices and over 1,000 top stakeholders from across the live events landscape.

The conclave will be inaugurated by Smt. Rekha Gupta, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, with a special address outlining Delhi’s ambition to become a global capital for creativity and entertainment. This will be followed by a forward-looking presentation by Shri Kapil Mishra, Delhi’s Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Law & Justice, Labour, Employment, Art & Culture, and Language, on positioning the city as a live entertainment and tourism powerhouse.

On May 23, Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, will lead a keynote conversation focused on activating youth engagement and building a dynamic intersection between live events, sports, and mass participation.

The event will conclude with a closing address by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Minister of Tourism, Government of India, emphasizing the sector’s growing role in India’s cultural diplomacy and global positioning.

A key highlight of this year’s edition is the keynote address by Shri Prithul Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, who will speak on the evolving national policy outlook for the cultural and creative industries.

Mr. Jain also announced an open session with Delhi’s Minister of Tourism, Shri Kapil Mishra Ji, to explore strategic collaborations between the government and the industry to position Delhi as a global hub for live events, tourism, and cultural commerce. He further invited youth and industry professionals to be part of this landmark initiative. “This is a unique opportunity to come together and elevate India’s event, sports, and live entertainment ecosystem,” he said.
