How have the last three months been for you in the event management industry? Any standout projects or experiences?

The past few months have been a whirlwind of excitement and creativity! We pulled off an incredible 25 wedding decors in January and kept the momentum going with 20 more in February & March. One standout experience was a Haldi & Sangeet Decor called ‘DISCO Haldi’ that combined rich cultural tradition with a modern twist. It was amazing to see how we could blend different styles to create something truly unique and personal for the couple. Seeing the joy on their faces was the highlight for us!

Have you noticed any new trends emerging in the event space recently? How have they influenced your work?

Definitely! Personalized and intimate weddings are all the rage now. Couples are looking to create experiences that really reflect who they are, which means we’ve been getting more creative with decor and themes. There’s also a big push for incorporating the Couple’s story and family within the Décor, so we’re finding fun ways to include such elements as a part of our projects. It’s all about making the day special and meaningful.

Disco Haldi: A combined event of Haldi and Sangeet ceremony event that took place at The Upper Deck at Orchid Hotel. The venue was adorned with the typical Haldi colours that included Yellows, Orange and Pinks but in fabrics & finishes that gave a modern twist. Elements such as mirror balls, glass props, Pastel vintage items, coloured fabrics and florals were used to strategically combine both the themes together.

Given the evolving landscape, how has client demand or event preferences changed in the past few months?

We’ve noticed that more couples are pushing for a trend towards creating more interactive experiences for their families and Guests, like photo booths with quirky props or live entertainment that gets everyone involved. It’s all about making sure everyone has a blast and feels part of the celebration.

The industry is highly competitive—what strategies have you adopted to stay ahead in the game?

Staying ahead means always being on our toes and thinking outside the box. We focus on keeping up with the latest trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table. Building strong relationships with our partners and sporting a creative space for our team is the key too, as it helps us offer exclusive options to our clients. And of course, we make sure our team is always learning and growing, so we can deliver top-notch experiences every time. We have also been constantly upgrading our decorative inventory of trendy structures and props for the events.

Looking ahead, what do you think will be the biggest challenge for event planners in the coming future?

One big challenge is going to be balancing the cool tech stuff with the personal touch that makes weddings so special. As things get more digital, we need to make sure we’re still creating those heartfelt moments that couples treasure. Plus, with everyone more conscious about the environment, we’ll need to find clever ways to plan amazing weddings that are also kind to the planet.

If you had to predict one major shift in the event industry in the coming year, what would it be?

I’m betting on a big shift towards Destination Weddings and also more immersive and interactive weddings. With the popularity of Social media & incorporation of virtual reality, the clients are excited to create experiences that guests can dive right into.

Imagine having a themed wedding where guests feel like they’re part of an adventure! It’s an exciting time, and we can’t wait to see where these new ideas take us.
