
The Esports Conclave 2025 marked a significant milestone in the evolution of India’s esports landscape. Organized by the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) and supported by KRAFTON India and Invest India, the conclave brought together a dynamic mix of government representatives, industry leaders, investors, and professional players to chart a collective vision for the future of Indian esports. The presence of Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, underscored the growing importance of esports in the national sporting ecosystem.
One of the key highlights of the event was the “Future of Esports in India” panel featuring Akshat Rathee (MD & Co-Founder, NODWIN Gaming), Sean (Hyunil) Sohn (CEO, KRAFTON India), Amulya Sah (Senior VP, Invest India), and Udit Seth (Chairperson, TransStadia). The panel discussed India’s potential to emerge as a global esports hub through strategic infrastructure development, policy support, and the integration of emerging technologies.
Another impactful session, titled “India’s Medal Ambition,” brought together Akshat Rathee, Minho Yi (VP, Head of Esports, KRAFTON Inc.), Animesh Agarwal (THUG), Aman Garg (Chairman, CYSDP), and S. N. Raghuchandran Nair (VP, Kerala Olympic Association). The conversation focused on the importance of grassroots initiatives, structured talent development pipelines, and official recognition of esports to enhance India’s competitiveness on the global stage.
The panel on “Building India’s Esports Industry” further emphasized the importance of industry collaboration. Experts like Kauveri Khullaar (Senior VP, Mastercard AsiaPac), Rajaraman G (Senior Journalist), Karan Pathak (Associate Director, KRAFTON India), Abhishek Aggarwal (Co-Founder & CEO, Trinity Gaming), and Siddharth Nayyar (Co-Founder, Max Level) shared valuable perspectives on monetization, brand partnerships, content creation, and the role of media in shaping public perception.
