Multifaceted artist KAVYA is set to embark on a nationwide tour in April to promote her upcoming EP HYPERREAL, expected to release in the summer of 2025. Known for her versatility as an actor, singer, composer, and producer, KAVYA has crafted an immersive, theatrical audio-visual production that will travel to major cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.

Describing her vision for the tour, KAVYA shares that she wanted to create “a hyper-engaged live experience with worldbuilding at its core” to introduce her new music. The show, designed as a “highly designed auditory world,” invites audiences into a space of hyperreality and introspective storytelling. She explains, “This tour has challenged me to express my creative greed. Even though these are baby steps, I’m picturing this as a musical theatrical production than just pub-gigging.” The show will feature Goya on Ableton Live, Dhir Mody on drums, and visuals by Mumbai-based artist Moebius, also known as Nikunj Patel.

The Hyperreal EP tour presents a 60-minute immersive performance that blends released and unreleased tracks into a cohesive narrative. Inspired by the concept of archaeological discoveries from the future, KAVYA experiments with soundscapes that evoke a sense of time and space. The experience is further enhanced by her unique worldbuilding, which includes a jewelry line designed by KAVYA herself, set to launch on April 6 as tour merchandise.

Fresh from completing the shoot of Netflix’s upcoming modern-day Indian royalty rom-com The Royals, KAVYA is gearing up to release her first EP in four years. Her previous EP, Know Me Better, was well received upon its release in 2021. Over the years, she has expanded her musical range from R&B, electronic, and pop to a more cinematic and experimental style with folklore influences and an edge of abrasiveness that defines her new project.

Expressing her pride in the upcoming release, KAVYA says, “HYPERREAL is my first accreditation as a co-producer and these four tracks mean more to me than my previous releases. This is the first time I felt confident about sticking to my guns yet allowing Goya’s sensibilities to uplift the compositions further. I couldn’t have imagined a kinder co-producer to work with on HYPERREAL.”
