The White Flea concluded its 9th edition with notable success, attracting over 30,000 visitors to Surat’s Gauribaa Farm from October 25-27, 2024. The event, with its “Cosmic Stardust” theme, offered a well-rounded experience featuring curated shopping, diverse food options, live music, and interactive activities.

Founded by Neel and Preksha Choksi after the pandemic, The White Flea started as a small flea market aimed at connecting artisans with customers. Over the years, it has grown into a well-regarded platform for showcasing local talent, fostering creativity, and promoting community engagement. Each edition introduces fresh themes and activities, helping it remain a popular event in the region.

This year’s edition featured over 150 stalls offering a variety of handmade crafts, eco-friendly products, home decor, and artisanal food items. Visitors had the chance to discover unique products from local artisans and small businesses, reinforcing The White Flea’s focus on creativity and sustainability.

Food was a key highlight of the event, with more than 20 food brands offering a wide range of dishes. From specialty mocktails to savory meals, the food offerings contributed to the lively atmosphere and ensured there was something for every taste.
In addition to shopping and food, The White Flea included over ten experiential zones, featuring art installations, interactive workshops, and activities for all ages. These zones provided engaging experiences that made the event enjoyable for families, friends, and individuals alike.
The event also featured a mix of music, from upbeat techno to Bollywood classics and live performances. On the final day, the “Megahouse” segment added a special touch with its lineup of artists and exciting prizes, ensuring a memorable conclusion to the three-day event.

Each edition of The White Flea adopts a unique theme that influences the decor, workshops, and products. This year’s “Cosmic Stardust” theme, with its celestial-inspired elements, followed previous themes like “Under the Ocean” and “Evil Eye.” This approach keeps the event fresh and engaging for returning attendees.

The White Flea’s growth continues with plans to expand further. After the successful Surat edition, the next event will take place in Hyderabad in January 2024, followed by a dedicated music festival in Surat in April 2024.

By combining shopping, food, music, and interactive experiences, The White Flea has become a space that highlights local creativity and connects diverse communities. As the event expands to new cities, it remains focused on showcasing art and innovation, making each edition an opportunity to bring people together.

The White Flea remains a popular destination for those seeking handmade products, good food, and engaging activities. With upcoming events in Hyderabad and Surat, it will continue to offer unique experiences for attendees.
