The 15th edition of Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest concluded on a high note, receiving a standing ovation for its grand finale – a thought-provoking address on ‘Reasons for Hope’ by the world-renowned ethologist, primatologist, and UN Messenger for Peace, Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE.

Celebrating 15 uninterrupted years of literary excellence, the LitFest took place over three days (November 15-17) at the NCPA, Nariman Point. It was an overwhelming success, featuring 125 participants from 11 countries across 36 engaging sessions. The festival offered a rich array of topics, including poetry, fiction, travel, AI, music, sports, entertainment, spirituality, food history, business, memoirs, and a tribute to Marathi receiving classical language status.

In addition to its main program, the festival hosted The Little Festival for children aged 8–14, which featured imaginative sessions, workshops, and performances. The lively NCPA campus buzzed with the voices and laughter of over 2,500 children during this parallel celebration held on November 15 and 16. Meanwhile, the larger festival drew nearly 20,000 visitors to its charming seaside venue, enjoying international performances, book launches, open mic sessions, poetry in the park, and more.

One of the festival’s highlights was its prestigious Literary Awards, which are eagerly anticipated each year and aim to recognize and encourage both established and emerging literary talent.

Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest is presented by Godrej Industries Group in association with NCPA and powered by Kotak. The Little Festival for children is conducted by Literature Live! in collaboration with the H.T. Parekh Foundation. Widely regarded as one of India’s most iconic arts festivals, the LitFest continues to celebrate and promote literary and cultural excellence.
