
The India Financial Planning Conclave 2024, hosted by FPSB India in association with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) at GIFT City, concluded on October 4, marked a significant milestone in developing a world-class financial services workforce from India. The event was held to celebrate the World Financial Planning Day and brought together industry experts and policymakers to discuss the evolving financial landscape and the need for skilled professionals to drive growth and innovation.
The conclave featured insightful panels with industry leaders, including Dipesh Shah, Executive Director of IFSCA and Pradeep Ramakrishnan, Executive Director, IFSCA who shared their insights on fostering financial literacy and professional excellence in India’s financial planning sector.
During the event, FPSB India announced the launch of the ‘Psychology of Practice’ course, designed specifically for financial sector practitioners. This course, set to launch in December 2024, will become a part of the CFP certification curriculum from April 2025 onwards. The course will equip professionals with essential skills to better understand client behaviour, enhance advisory practices, and build lasting client relationships.
The event concluded with a commitment to continuing these dialogues and creating more platforms for knowledge sharing, professional development and strengthening India’s position as a global financial hub.
