With a wealth of experience, she delves into the inception of Éclat, its evolution, and its distinctive approach to empowering women not only within the workplace but also in broader societal contexts. Take us through your journey as an entrepreneur in the event and experiential industry? What inspired you to start your own venture?

As a Doctor by profession, I initially worked at a top hospital under the mentorship of renowned surgeon Dr. Ramakant Panda. During this time, I collaborated with leading marketing agencies like Group M and Ogilvy, where my passion for marketing flourished.

Working closely with pharmaceutical brands, I realised the pivotal role events played in their marketing strategies. However, having spent considerable time on the client side, I understood the pain points faced by brands when working with event agencies. This realization sparked the idea for Éclat events – not just to execute events but to craft compelling narratives for every brand we worked with, offering measurable ROI.

How can we encourage more women to pursue entrepreneurship or senior leadership roles in their career?

Encouraging men to share social responsibilities can pave the way for more women to pursue entrepreneurship or senior leadership roles.

If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

• Indira Gandhi: To glean insights into her powerful mindset and leadership style.

• Michelle Obama: To learn how to transcend social barriers and voice one’s opinions confidently.

• Kamala Harris: To understand the essence of personal charisma and leadership.

Finally, with International Women’s Day approaching, what does this day mean to you personally, and how do you think we can continue to support and empower women in the workplace and beyond?

International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder of the remarkable achievements women have made throughout history, and the ongoing fight for gender equality. It’s a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political contributions of women.

Here are some ways we can continue to support and empower women in the workplace and beyond:

Challenge unconscious bias: We all have biases, but being aware of them is the first step to dismantling them.

Promote equal opportunities: Ensure fair hiring practices, equal pay for equal work, and access to professional development opportunities for all genders.

Amplify women’s voices: Support women-led initiatives, celebrate female leaders, and encourage women to speak up and share their ideas.

Mentorship programs: Connect experienced women with younger women to provide guidance and support.

Work-life balance: Promote policies that allow for a healthy work-life balance for all employees, regardless of gender.

By working together, we can create a world where women have the opportunities and resources to thrive in all aspects of life.
