Skechers announces the 4th edition of the Skechers Walkathon, a powerful initiative that goes beyond miles to make an impact in the world of sports. Featuring categories of 10km, 5km, and 3km, this event aims to promote walking as a sport while also extending its reach towards the development of budding athletes.
To mark the 4th year of the Skechers Walkathon, Skechers has partnered with GoSports for its Long Term Athlete Development Programme that aims at nurturing and developing athletes across multiple sports at grassroot level to help them become medal winners; proceeds from the registration fees will go towards GoSports’ Long Term Athlete Development Programme. This year’s Walkathon is expected to have an enrolment of over 10,000 participants, who are now part of a Skechers GO WALK® community that has grown to include more than 20,000 walking enthusiasts since the event’s start.
