Over the past 2 weekends, TOAST Events designed and executed a multi-city 2 day festival called Tinder Queer Made Weekend 2023. In celebration of Pride month, Tinder India and Gaysi family joined forces once again to curate the much-awaited festival in Mumbai on June 10 & 11 at Jio World Drive, BKC and Delhi on June 17 & 18 at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj.

This event aimed to provide a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community to showcase their talents, promote queer-owned businesses, and create a safe space to embrace and express oneself. With a mix of performances by amazing artists and cool business stalls, the event became a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.

While Mumbai hosted its first Queer Made Weekend this year, this was the second time for Delhi and this year was only bigger and better than last year. One of the major highlights of the festival was the focus on promoting the 45+ queer owned businesses in both cities where they met and interacted with people who they normally would not have come across.
There was everything from a vibrant marketplace where attendees could explore a wide range of products, from fashion and accessories to home decor, tattoos, art and merch to food and drinks. The event made a significant impact on both the LGBTQIA+ community and the wider society. Attendees and participants shared their experiences and highlights creating a digital community that further amplified the event’s message of love, acceptance, and empowerment.

The Tinder Queer Made Weekend featured a diverse lineup of live music, dances and performances by Rani Ko-HE-Nur aka Sushant Divgikar with TopStorey, DJ Kayan with a surprise appearance by Jay Sean and Madboy Mink. From mesmerizing drag queens to powerful rappers, the stage was a platform for queer voices to be heard and celebrated.

TOAST wanted to create something special for this one, even the stage was designed in such a way that the backdrop showcased some of the products from the businesses present there. The photo op was a huge hit with the Tinder flame in neon with a backdrop of the pride colours. It was truly great to experience the energy at the festival, to see everyone be so free and ecstatic with joy.
The success of the Tinder Queer Made Weekend serves as a testament to the power of inclusive events that celebrate diversity and empower marginalized communities.
