Benny Dayal, a popular singer, get hits by a drone at the back of his head during a live concert at a cultural fest of Vellore Institute of Technology in Chennai.
The concert was being filmed by a drone camera that was being controlled by a crew member, however due to a technical malfunction, the drone went off course and hit Benny Dayal. The impact of the drone camera hitting him caused Benny Dayal to suffer injuries, and he had to be taken to a hospital for treatment.
Benny Dayal also issued a response following the incident issuing a warning over drone operations during a live event.
Also in a recent event, AR Rahman’s son AR Ameen almost got injured on set during a shoot recently. Ameen shared on Instagram that he was shooting for a song when the chandeliers that were suspended from a crane came crashing down on stage.
With the rise of wellness consciousness at large meetings gatherings and events, a priority for every event organiser must be to remove or minimise every risk to Artist, Staff, Contractors, Event Participants and the General Public.
