Sanjoy K Roy receives the TagorePrize for social achievement at Rabindranath Tagore literary awards

Sanjoy K Roy has been felicitated with the Tagore Prize for social achievement for his outstanding contribution towards sustenance and arts at Rabindranath tagore literary and social awards 2021-22. He is the producer of the iconic Jaipur Literature festival and 30 other art festivals across the world.

Sanjoy has helped 8000 artists and artisans during Covid-19. The trustee of salaam Baalak trust provides support services to street and working children.

He received the award during ceremony at India International Center, where Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark, Deputy Ambassador of Taiwan – Mumin Chen and others were present.

Sanjoy K. Roy, MD, Teamwork Arts said, “Art matters began as an advocacy campaign to highlight the contribution of artists and artisans to our syncretic culture, tradition and daily life. Since then the campaign has grown to support and sustain the Indian arts sector hugely impacted by Covid-19.”

Along with Sanjoy, Shobhana Kumar and Sudeep Sen were also felicitated for their achievements.
