
IHC Theatre Festival 2022, returns after two years, carrying forward the legacy of Theatre at Habitat that has been for over two decades.
‘A Play A Day’ lineup brings an eclectic selection of Pan Indian Theatre. A mix of classics, translations, adaptations, and original devised scripts, that showcase significant strands of theatre practice from across the country. Self-expression draws on shared histories and compelling socio-political realities.
The Theatre Festival post the pandemic brings together the creative energies, experiences and learnings of artists who return to the stage after a two-year forced hiatus.
Sunit Tandon, Director, IHC said, “I am delighted that after a two-year hiatus, the stage is coming alive once again and we are back with a selection of critically acclaimed theatre productions from different parts of the country, curated with passion and love by the Programmes Division of the India Habitat Centre.”
Vidyun Singh, Creative Head, Programmes said, “We are delighted to return with our first post-pandemic theatre festival and bring back the energy of physical theatre. Capturing the diversity, vibrancy, and rigour of contemporary theatre practitioners from outside the Capital city.”
