Roshan Abbas & Rajeev Jain to Contest for EEMA Presidentship; Other Nominations Also Now Known!

With the upcoming EEMA NEC & Zonal Elections 2020, industry delegates Roshan Abbas, Managing Director, Geometry Encompass and Rajeev Jain, Director, Rashi Entertainment have been nominated to contest for the position of NEC President. Along with them EEMA also unveiled the list of all the other candidates who cleared the due diligence process for their nominations to various positions in the EEMA NEC & Zonal Elections 2020. The due diligence is conducted and the final list is approved by the Chief Election Commissioner and the Election Committee. The elections will be held on June 26th, 2020 from 8 am to 8 pm.

EEMA states:
 
1. As declared and agreed during the nomination process the contesting candidate shall contest for any one post and would withdraw his/her candidature from rest of the nomination before the release of Final list of contesting candidates on 12.06.2020 at 10 am, failing which the CEC and Observer committee is authorized to cancel all the nominations of the candidate from the election and the decision would be final and binding.
 
2. All the above contesting candidates who wishes to continue contesting for one position are required to resend the Photograph, Biodata and the Manifesto in word format to nominations@eemaindia.com The details are required for the purpose of uploading the information on the voting website.
 
3. After the announcement of the candidature of a candidate, any formal objection to such candidature may be submitted in writing to the Election Committee only within 3 days from that date of announcement. The written objection shall only be based on any serious issue involving the candidate’s association with EEMA such as his/her eligibility to contest and shall not include any remarks unrelated to EEMA. The Election Committee shall scrutinize the objection and allow the candidate an opportunity to respond in writing an email within 3 days from the date of receipt of the objection. Thereafter the Election Committee shall adjudicate upon the objection and either permit the candidate to contest in the election or disqualify him/her from contesting.
 
4. The seats/positions that are shown vacant are marked in red. These vacant positions would be filled in through a process of appointment devised and planned by the NEWLY FORMED NEC 2020. It will in the sole discretion of the newly formed NEC. There won’t be any elections conducted for these seats.
 
5. The seats/positions that have only single nomination are defined as uncontested single winner election and the candidate is declared winner unanimously.
