The Event Management Federation (EMF) which was earlier known as a regional association of the event and wedding planners from Gujarat has come into its own in the last couple of years owing to its phenomenal leadership. The association has recently rebranded itself as the Experiential Managers Federation Global (EMF Global) and is now a national body for event managers across the country with dedicated chapters in 18 tier 1 & tier 2 cities.
After hosting the previous edition of its annual convention ‘EMF ACE’ in Dubai last year, the association is now set to host the next edition of their thought-leadership forum in Sri Lanka. Titled ‘EMF Global Convention and Awards’, the event will take place at Amari Resorts in Galle, Sri Lanka from September 21-23, 2018 and focus extensively on outbound events and destinations weddings market for Indian event planners.
Speaking exclusively to EVENTFAQS, Keyur Patel, VP, EMF remarked, “Outbound events and weddings are the flavour of the season and with the world rapidly transforming into one global village, event managers too are bridging the geographical barriers and taking Indian events and experiences to the world. The 3-day convention will completely decode the outbound MICE and Weddings management market of 5 global destinations for the convention delegates and also enable them to grasp the nuances that come into play while planning international events. We’ll be joined at the convention by the Tourism Authorities, Event Suppliers and other relevant players of these 5 destinations to make EMF Global Convention and Awards a truly enriching and learning experience for attendees.”
The custodians at EMF Global Convention and Awards further revealed that approximately 300 delegates from the 18 cities of India are expected to attend the forum.
It is reported that the convention will start-off with a welcome dinner on Day 1 followed by 5 Insightful sessions with 5 global destinations on Day 2. The final day of the convention is expected to see networking engagements during the daytime followed by three exciting sessions on the Floral arrangements, Décor & Design and Motivation featuring global stalwarts in the domain. The third day of the convention will culminate with the Event Excellence Awards in the evening that will close curtains with a gala entertainment evening.
