The International Convention for the Wedding Fraternity (ICWF) by Mapsor and the 5 Guys Project concluded its 6th edition this weekend from July 27 – 29 at the Hotel Fairmont, Jaipur. Known to be the meeting place of great minds, this edition also didn’t disappoint those seeking to update their knowledge and exchange insights in the wedding space. The conference had a great line up of speakers including internationally renowned decor experts, like the trio of the Design Lab Experience from Dubai and Karen Tran, celebrated florist of The Floral Experiences, USA.
Panel discussions delved into topics of pertinence in today’s times in the flourishing wedding industry, including a session with Young Women in the wedding industry, talking about new thought and following your passions. The panel on ‘Understanding Wedonomincs’ had audiences engage in a discussion with panelists on measuring the direct and indirect economic influences of the Indian wedding industry, while the panel on ‘Weddings in 2020,’ gave a sneak peek into what wedding of the future may look like, with Sustainability being a topic the panelists discussed realistically.
As in each edition, ICWF concluded with the magnificent GIWA 2018, in which various stakeholders of the wedding industry are celebrated and acknowledged for their work in the year gone by. Studio Neelabh emerged as the highest winner, thus making him the ‘star of the year’ for GIWA 2018, with a fitting ‘elevated moment’ of the stage to announce this coveted achievement.
