Coach, a global design house of modern luxury leather goods, apparel and lifestyle accessories, recently opened its new store in Chennai, India.
Located at the new luxury mall, Palladium Chennai, the Coach store is a nearly 80 square meter space designed by Coach Creative Director, Stuart Vevers, in partnership with William Sofield, designer and president of Studio Sofield. Featuring the brand’s distinctive modern luxury concept, the store environment is warm and inviting, with leather and natural wood finishes that reflect the sophisticated yet playful refinement of New York – the city Coach has always called home.
Drawing from a wide range of influences, the modern luxury concept places a premium on contrasting textures and luxe materials. Throughout the space is a mix of custom-designed cabinetry fabricated from natural and ebonized ash, blackened steel, antique bronze and mahogany trim. The store interiors consist of iron spot brick pavers, reclaimed heart-pine wood flooring with custom hand-tufted wool carpeting and statement mid-century furniture punctuating the elegant lines and muted colours.
