NPCC has had a very significant year in terms of the spread of business expanse. So, there were two reasons to celebrate, the year gone by and the Raising Day of this member of the veteran PSU club of India. 2017 was the year of great success for NPCC in domestic as well as in the global arena. In the international market, NPCC bagged a major project for Construction of Grand Katende Hydropower Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is at the final stage of landing the road works in Bangladesh. NPCC has also partnered with LURI water systems of Germany for the precious and pet project of the Union Government of India, Namami Gange.
In the domestic market, NPCC has been awarded major works across the diversified fields such as Institutional and residential buildings, roadworks, canal works, border development works and other infrastructure works. It has marked its presence across the length and breadth of the nation while encompassing the most challenging tasks in North-Eastern India as well the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Present on the occasion were multiple NPCC dignitaries and members from the top leadership. The proceedings began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and speeches by the dignitaries on the dais. Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal elicited much applause when he quoted the lines, “Miles to Go Before I Sleep”, from the famous Robert Frost poem, Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening.

The event was held at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park in New Delhi and was deftly and calmly managed by the experiential firm, TEC India. Awards were presented to the best performing employees of NTPC. Performing on the occasion were the Asmitha Theatre Group and stand-up comic JC. The folk dances of Maharashtra and Rajasthan, Lavani, Kalbeliya, Ghoomar, and Kathputli lit up the stage with their sheer vibrancy and singer Ananya Mishra lent melody to the proceedings. The act that caught my eye was the Mask Act, inspired by the Chinese opera. The MJ5 act entertained the children in the gathering. The dinner was lip-smacking, the latest trending cuisine, Kashmiri cuisine was served too.
But when the client looks back at this night we staged for them, their comments post the analysis, I am sure would be flattering, unfailing and unfalling!
It was a raising day, indeed!
Thank you @TECIndia for a zero-fall event!
